The Yukon is a very special place to visit!

We travelled the beautiful Alaska Highway as fall colours settled in, with impressive sightings of wild bison, caribou, moose and bear. Learning about the First Nations History in the Yukon was enlightening, imagining the gold rush days in Dawson City was so much fun and seeing Dall Sheep high in the Kluane Mountain ranges was spectacular. The highlight of the trip was camping in Tombstone Territorial Park and exploring the first 150kms of the Dempster Highway, one of the last untouched areas of our country.

Our first night in Tombstone was clear with a moonless sky and the Milky Way appearing almost instantly after sunset. We waited to see if Aurora Borealis would appear. Unsure at first, a blanket of Northern lights danced across the sky. It was magical, more epic than I could have ever imagined.

Camping road trips are my absolute favorite thing to do, and the Yukon is definitely one of the most amazing places I have been able to drive to.
I cannot wait to return.
