After an incredible day exploring Vancouver Island – from hiking through the giant redwood trees and rain forests, seeing not one, not two, but three black bears, and stopping for some of the freshest fish & chips we’ve ever had – it was an amazing feeling first arriving in Tofino and setting up our Treeline roof-top tent. With the ocean a mere 20 second walk away, you could hear the crashing of the waves against the shoreline.
Sleeping that night was something you just have to experience to fully understand – it might have been the best sleep of my life. Everything was so quiet, and all you could hear was the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing in rhythm. I fell asleep so fast that night, and I woke up feeling very well rested. Climbing down from the tent that morning to the crisp fresh air and making coffee is something I always look forward to, but that first morning was special. We walked to the beach that morning and took-in the sunrise.
That is my favourite thing about our roof-top tent – the comfort in knowing you have everything right there packed up with you, how quick and effortless it is to have “base camp” setup and ready, a comfy place to sleep, and it makes it easy to pack up after a long week of work and be able to hit the road – you can go anywhere.
